Our orthodontics clinic is there to support patients in practical ways. Out of hours appointments can be organised, private consultation rooms guarantee privacy and space for family, or friends to sit in if you wish.
The Harley Street clinic has in house, day surgery facilities, which cover almost all orthodontic care. Where procedures require general anaesthesia, this can be provided by one of our consultant anaesthetists.
In the unusual event that a hospital stay is needed, we have admission rights at The Wellington Hospital and Hospital of St John & Elizabeth. They offer fine medical and personal facilities, including private rooms with ensuite bathroom.
Should nursing care be required at your accommodation, we work with trusted nursing agencies. If parents wish to sleep over at a hospital where a child is being treated, this can be arranged.
If an interpreter will be helpful, please give us notice and we will organise support through an agency compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Supportive Treatment
Alongside the points above, if you have any special requirements, let our staff know. Our ethos is based on working with patients, not simply treating them.
Should you prefer to pay for treatment in stages, an arrangement can normally be made for payment at appointments, or direct debit. This will make no difference to cost, the quality of care, or choice of orthodontic support.
The latest imaging equipment, safety and sterilisation procedures are in place. We use the efficient “DeconPod” approach and every staff member is trained in all important, infection control practices.
Each aspect of your treatment will be carried out by a leader in their field. The wider team we have also allows for speedy consultation on specialist areas.
Regulatory Compliance
Our consultants and support staff are registered with appropriate professional bodies, in most cases, the key institutions in their field. From our team page, links go to full details in individual biographies.
The Care Quality Commission is the prime UK regulator for medical facilities. We comply with their requirements and those of professional regulators, by all means go to our entry on medical regulation to see more.
If you require further information on regulation, or any point, please contact us. Information during treatment is equally accessible, through a sophisticated computer management system called Orthotrac.
You will find our staff are friendly and supportive of personal needs. Taking care of them removes stress from treatment, allowing staff and patients to focus on what they mutually wish to achieve.
